Christian Parenting Handbook Giveaway

A Thought from Ed Miller ...

Have you read The Christian Parenting Handbook yet? The book came on the market to rave reviews back in early May. Many families are finding it to be a helpful resource as they continue to develop their philosophy of parenting.

Marcy Crabtree is a blogger and a good friend. She played a crucial role in the initial launch of the book and now she has come up with a brilliant idea. From September 23 to October 4 Marcy will be doing a 10-Day Heart Parenting Series. She will be taking a chapter from The Christian Parenting Handbook each day and sharing her insights and experiences from her own journey. This is going to be very exciting.

We'll tell you more about this in our Monday blog post along with special deals that will be available during this time. We'll also be writing articles about various chapters in the Handbook.
Marcy is running a contest starting today where she will be giving away 10 copies of The Christian Parenting Handbook. You'll want to enter this contest even if you already own a copy of the book. You can give the extra copy to a friend!

I am excited to partner with Marcy over at Ben and Me in a giveaway of 10 copies of The Christian Parenting Handbook, authored by Dr. Scott Turansky and Joanne Miller, RN of The National Center for Biblical Parenting.

This biblical parenting book shares 50 heart-based strategies for all the stages of your child's life.

In this book you'll learn how to:

Identify character qualities to address problems
Build internal motivation
Transfer responsibility for change to the child
Teach kids to be solvers instead of whiners
Use creativity to teach your kids spiritual truths
Avoid the "boxing ring"
Envision a positive future
And much more!

With these strategies you'll be able to move from behavior modification to a heart-based approach to parenting. Instead of relying on rewards, incentives, threats, and punishment, you'll learn how to identify heart lessons to teach your child and implement them in practical ways.

I am excited that 10 people will receive a printed copy of The Christian Parenting Handbook

  7. I have struggled as a mother since my daughter was still in the womb. I lost the first two years of her life to depression and anxiety and it severely fractured my ability to bond with her properly. God has been merciful in bringing healing and restoration to these areas, but I am so hungry for wisdom from reputable resources such as this one. Funds are tight so a free copy would be a blessing!
